Childhood Snow

Childhood Snow
By R.e. Taylor

Grown-ups do not want it to come
Children cannot wait for the day
A day off from school
Sledding down a neighborhood hill
Making a snow angel
Even a snowball hitting your nose
Those are the things children dream of
The things grown-ups do not know they miss
Until they have a child
Then it all comes back
Usually a snowball fight ensues
And the grown-ups become children once again
