The Rock Life

The Rock Life
R.e. Taylor

At one time you were the king of rock
Tracks every few minutes on the radio
Your fame was a lock
And you played with endless gusto
Guitar riffs beyond mortal man
Made women cry and men weak
Your fame was something no one could plan
Everyone saw you as a mystique
But even that could not last
One day your fame faded
And everything you worked for was a blast
With all that you have your life and that makes you blessed
