He knows
he did not jump in
However, he
does not remember falling
He just
feels the coolness around him
Helping
him to simply relax
Not
worrying about himself
His soul
is at peace as he sinks deeper
Eventually
the light turns to darkness
He can no
longer see the sun so far away
Sadly, his
heart beats one last time
Amphitrite comes and takes him by
the hand
Smiling, he knows, for the first time in
his life
He feels happy and welcome
It is as if he had returned home
Too bad no one will know
