Wishing On A Star

He has so many wishes
A long life with so many mistakes
Sometimes he stares at a lone star
Asking why he became so old
Why his body had changed so much
Why he can no longer do what he enjoys
The star never answers him
Maybe it just does not care
But he asks the same star every night
Keeping his hopeless hope alive
