The Man Under The Tree

The Man Under The Tree
By Lord R.e. Taylor

A man lived so long ago
A carpenter who was a king
But the carpenter had so many ideas
Unknown to the people of His lands
He spoke and taught
And He became too much
Captured and tortured
His body died on the cross
But His spirit came back to us
To help us learn how to live
And how we should love
He is still on Earth
Sitting beneath a dogwood tree
Surrounded by His teachings
He watches over us
And prays for all of us
Most of all He loves us
