Say Hello

Go ahead and walk around
Look at all the other people
Even the ones who are different
The ones who don’t fit your ideal
Take the time to give them a smile
Say hello and ask how they are
Most will just ignore you
Looking away or crossing the street
Once in a great while though
Someone will stop and smile back
They will talk to you
And a connection will be made
They may be homeless
Or they may be a billionaire
Butt, after that single moment
You will both be so much better
Just because you said hello
