My Muse

My Muse
By R.e. Taylor

It was long ago
A couple lifetimes I guess
I gave my heart to a woman
Beautiful and gracious
How could I not fall for her
Kisses and touches lead to love
And love brought something out
I began writing her words of love
Poems which were not very good
But she loved them
And I loved her
To this day when I write a poem
Her face, her eyes and her voice
Echoes through my heart
And I am inspired
