Just for a moment or two

Maybe just in time

I didn’t do something I should have

I wish I could kiss you on the cheek

Just one more time

Hell, I never knew that you were leaving

You were there one second

Then you were gone the next

Yes, I still cry

And I will to my dying day

I should have been there

But you went to Heaven before I had the chance

So Mom, it has been a very long time

And I cannot go back to the day you left

Just know that I will never say goodbye

Because you are still with me

And you always will be
