When did we stop using words
We have used them for thousands of years
Then, the computer age arrived
Most of us still use words on them
But some spoke in pictures
Close to those of ancient Egypt
Now a new technology has arrived
Where words, numbers, and images no longer exist
Instead, everything is made of black and white squares
They are completely unreadable
That is unless you use a machine to decode it
There is doubt that technology will stay the same
Since it has control of our language
It is frightening what may come
And they may use it against us
If there is any “us” left
