The Blessing From The Eighth Day
by Lord R.e. Taylor
God created the world and everything
And He took just seven days to do it
But then he was tired and needed a break
He decided to spend a few millennia traveling
Checking out everything He had made
Walking was just dull, and camels were uncomfortable
So, He paused, raised His hands, and smiled
Before Him was a chariot of bright white metal
The chariot called to Him, and He answered
It was the only ride which was good enough for a god
But He did love the people of His new world
So, when He finished with His travels
He left a gift to His people with a new name
The Corvette became a symbol of God’s love
And His blessing from the eighth day
