You came from the future
We know you have seen everything
The good things that we have done
And all of the bad things too
You are not here to warn us
Not that we would ever listen to you
So you just watch us and cry
But believe me we have cried just as much
We know all that we have lost
Let’s hope that you learn from us
And the next generation will not cry for you
