The Eternal Lantern

The lantern lights the darkness
Bringing a new vision to the forest
No one knows who brought it out
Or the reasons behind it
No one ever comes out to light it
Still, it burns eternally constant
It burns for the lost,
It burns for the waiting,
It burns for the dawn yet to come.
Whatever it is or wherever it came from
And even though no one ever sees it
It is a legendary light of hope
