A Vote In America

One hundred-sixty years ago
I cast my first vote for Breckenridge
A Southern Democrat out of Kentucky
Almost two hundred years on
I am still voting straight Democrat
So many times, in so many states
I don’t look the same since I died
But my votes still count and that matters
