From the day she was born
She never had a smile
She never knew what happiness was
Neglected, tortured, and abused
She was never a little girl
It did take time
Far too long
But when it got to be too much
The water wrapped around her
Giving her the hugs she always wanted
For the first time in her life
The young woman had her peace
