Don’t Speak

No one knows what to say
They are afraid to speak
Afraid of offending someone
It does not matter if they are right
Or if they are wrong
Talking can be a death sentence
It was not always like that
People could speak openly once
Protest without violence
Too bad that time is long gone
The world has changed
And not for the better
