Listen To Your Elders

Your elders have been there for you
Every day of your life they loved you
Played games with you
Taught you so many things
All about the loves and diseases they survived
And all of the wars which surrounded them
Stories which the history books don’t share
Sometime write them down as they speak
What you hear is the truth of a long-lost time
Remember, one day soon our elders will be gone
So, will all of that history
Lost to every generation from now on
