The Forever Flame
by Lord R.e. Taylor
A flame in the middle of nowhere
Burning for a hundred million years
No one knows how it started
Or how it has burned for so long
Just imagine what it has seen
The extinction of dinosaurs
And the birth of a creature called humans
It watched the first birds take flight
Then it saw man's first step on the moon
It is hard to imagine something so special
So magical and yet so familiar
It has always been there waiting to be seen
Now we can appreciate what it stands for
Not today, not yesterday but the entire history of Earth
