The New War

The New War
by Lord R.e. Taylor

War used to be so honourable
Soldiers met face to face
Civilians never got involved
But that was an eternity ago
Now, you can sit in New York
Press one button
Killing a million people in Tehran
They never see their faces
Not knowing if they were men
Or maybe there were some women
And, God forbid, there be any kids
But the upper ranks of soldiers
Well, they could not care less
After all, a dead enemy is a good enemy
So, send everything you've got
Unleash a blind military
Just hope they don't get you next
At least until they can look you in the eyes
At least you will have an honourable death
And you’ll leave a good story for your family to tell
