Weekend Days
By Lord R.e. Taylor
Weekends were always special
Leave the city life behind
Just hop in the car and take a ride
Small towns were soon magical
The Little family-owned restaurants
Stores that sold lottery tickets and alcohol
Antique shops always had the right stuff
And hundreds of yard sales lined the roads
The people were the friendliest
Never having a bad thing to say
It was always the best days ever
And still the best memories ever
